Our story
I’m Maria, founder of Sunkissed Soap Studio.
Sunkissed began with a very simple question: when did skincare become so complicated?
Our bathroom had quite literally run out of space for all the products I was apparently supposed to need. And with a young family, I found myself wanting something simpler — fewer products, thoughtfully chosen ingredients, and everyday essentials we could all use.
For generations, skin was cared for with simple things: oils, butters, clays and botanicals. I wanted to return to that simplicity, but create it in a way that felt beautiful enough for a modern home.
Living on the coast in Bargara shaped the rest. Life here has a way of bringing you back to the small things — salt in the air, warm light through the house, linen drying outside, the rituals we repeat every day without really thinking about them.
That became the idea behind Sunkissed.
Our soaps are made using the traditional cold-process method and cured slowly for six weeks. Each bar is created with thoughtfully chosen oils, butters and clays, while our scent library layers essential oils into blends designed to be discovered slowly and lived with every day.
But Sunkissed was never meant to be just soap.
I wanted to create something that could sit beside a beautiful basin or bath and feel considered — an everyday object with texture, scent and form. Something you don’t need to hide away once you’ve used it.
Because the things we use every day can be simple, functional and beautiful.
